People Helping People South East (PHPSE) a non-profit organization
assisting single moms, widows, and low-income families in need of help with
the interior or exterior of their homes. Our goal is to help an individual
or family get beyond their current circumstances of living within a crisis
and our hope is once they are beyond that situation they will be likely to
help someone else. Our team includes two local builders, Helton Homes (www.heltonhomes.net)
and Promise Homes (www.promisehomesonline.com).
PHPSE has been funded from within, but has recently been flooded with families
in need in the triangle area, causing us to look for help from the community.
We are in need of supplies, volunteers, and donations to help us complete
our monthly projects.
UPCOMING PROJECTS:
Our next two projects are scheduled for Saturday January 26th. One of them
will be the Bradley project which involves opening up doorways and entryways
for a teenager David Bradley who has cerebral palsy. The PHPSE team is looking
for volunteers to help with outside labor to make the exterior more accessible
for David. The second will be the Ellis project which will involve making
a home more child friendly. The home is in need of flooring, electrical, and
plumbing work.
